Hello! I’m Nihan, the artist and founder behind benneon.

After a winding path through engineering, academia, and UX research, I’m finally pursuing my childhood dream of being an artist. I’m so glad you’re here with me at the very start of this journey!

I draw inspiration from the joyful details I notice in everyday life: a cute old building, a colorful outfit, or a cozy decor. I want my work to spark that same sense of joy in others and encourage them to bring a playful flair to the ordinary.

After trying many mediums and materials over the years, I started painting with gouache in 2024 and haven’t looked back. I love the no-fuss, predictable nature of gouache and of course the saturated colors it provides. Everything I make these days are with gouache paint, acrylic markers and black liners on watercolor paper.
